The New Products Development Centre (CDNP) brings a multitude of ideas and dreams face to face with technical and financial realities on a daily basis. It is responsible for putting the finishing touches to the watches created by the Swatch Group’s different brands. Cooperating closely with the Group’s production companies, which assemble and finish watches, the CDNP relies on the expertise and experience of a team of designers for aesthetic matters, and on engineers and technicians for construction issues, technical details and production support. Thanks to years of watchmaking experience and understanding, the ultimate combination of technology and aesthetics can be found here.

Ultra-modern machining centres facilitate the production of small runs of prototype watchcases. Furthermore, expertise gained in the fields of computer graphics and image synthesis animation has led to valuable support material produced for the brands such as instructional CDs for after-sales servicing.

The close links forged with its sister division Asulab enable the CDNP to undertake promising investigations into the products of the future; a number of patents further enhance the division’s portfolio.
