Swatch Group: Frédéric Piguet SA acquires François Golay SA, producer of wheels and other watch components

Biel / Bienne / Le Sentier, 11 June 2008 – The Swatch Group company Frédéric Piguet SA, until now owner of 35% of the shares of François Golay SA in Le Brassus, acquires with immediate effect the remaining 65% of the shares of the company from the owners, Messrs. Jean-Marc Berney and Yves Berney.

Mr. Jean-Marc Berney will become managing director thus keeping the operational management of the company. The more than 100 employees will be taken over without change.

François Golay SA is specialized in the development of high-quality wheels and other watch components. Breguet SA, Blancpain SA, Frédéric Piguet SA and other Swatch Group companies are already today among the most important clients of the François Golay Company.

The development of the extraordinary know-how of François Golay SA and of its production apparatus will continue to be one of the top priorities of Frédéric Piguet SA
