Swatch and Hackett kick off their joint collection

When Swiss made becomes very British: Swatch and Hackett kick off their first collaboration with a limited and numbered edition of 1983 watches, recalling both brands’ birth year. No other than Jeremy Hackett’s beloved Spaniel Muffin features on the dial of this new Sistem51 Irony. Setting the perfect scene for this fancy hairy fellow, Swatch’s mechanical watch line is reknown for having revolutionized the industry. Whereas mechanical watches are still made by hand, Sistem51 is produced on a fully automated assembly line, making itself democratic and affordable for everyone.

“I am absolutely thrilled to be collaborating with Swatch for this limited edition range,” said Jeremy Hackett. “With the year of the dog, I decided to put my Sussex Spaniel Muffin on the dial. What I admire about Swatch is that it is a very democratic brand that appeals to everybody and one whose popularity endures - it’s timeless!” Gonzalo de Cevallos, Vice President Swatch, added: “This collaboration pays tribute to accessible luxury – and I am already looking forward for more to come.”

Since it is not a quartz watch, MUFFIN has no need for a battery—it’s powered by the person who wears it. Every movement of the wrist sets the rotor in motion, winding the watch, and even keeps ticking for an exceptional 90 hours – empowering men to look their very best, whatever the need and occasion.
