The Role

The Boutique Technician will be hired to conduct diagnostics with the view to create an estimate for the work required. Perform quick service interventions on timepieces, in line with OMEGA technical documentation. As an integral part of the Boutique team there will be aspects of the Boutique Technician role that cross over with that of the sales team. These key tasks and responsibilities include assisting in the continuous achievement of sales targets, delivering impeccable customer service, developing strong client relationships and client records within the boutique and being an ambassador for the OMEGA brand.

This role will be responsible for

  • Conduct initial light diagnostics of the timepiece, in order to determine the corrective intervention with a view to gather a pre-approval for servicing
  • Conduct quick warranty interventions
  • Ultrasonic cleaning of bracelets
  • Conduct water resistance checks and quick services as required
  • Ensure compliance with OMEGA technical documentation
  • Support the Boutique Team to ensure boutique sales targets are achieved
  • Ensure highest level of service standards at all times using the OMEGA sales ceremony
  • Actively contribute to building a strong Boutique VIP database and assist with the building of strong VIP relationships with local clientele
  • Perform weekly security stock counts (services)
  • Perform daily security stock counts where required
  • Track own performance statistics
  • Assist in daily visual merchandising tasks
  • Develop own comprehensive OMEGA brand and product knowledge base
  • Know stock availability, delays, backorders and discontinued product lines
  • Complete E-Learning modules

The person in this role would need to have the following skills and experience

  • Technical aptitude with an eye for detail
  • Relevant experience in the field [watches (or) other comparable field such as - consumer electronics manufacturing / service]
