Project Manager - Construction

Job description

  • Oversee construction activities both on-site and from the Saudi Arabia offices.
  • Ensure that corporate processes are applied and completed effectively.
  • Monitor and ensure the timely completion of all project tasks from initial budgeting to final closeout.
  • Verify that brand designs and identity are respected throughout the project.
  • Ensure construction documents are accurate, feasible, and comply with brand and industry standards.
  • Create and manage schedules for architects, vendors, and contractors.
  • Develop, oversee, and track project budgets.
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Issue RFPs, evaluate bids, and negotiate proposals.
  • Handle construction administration tasks.
  • Establish and uphold quality standards for contractors and vendors.
  • Proactively address anticipated obstacles with effective solutions.
  • Take full responsibility for the quality and efficiency of project outcomes.
  • Be flexible to work off-hours or days as project needs arise.
  • Directly manage luxury construction projects in malls and street locations in major cities.
  • Collaborate with the HQ brand project manager to develop and monitor project contents and budgets.
  • Review and ensure compliance of documents and permits with standards and regulations.
  • Prepare and manage a master schedule for the brand, architects, vendors, and contractors.
  • Award contracts to architects, engineers, general contractors, etc., based on evaluations.
  • Coordinate, initiate, and lead on-site activities with architects, landlords, security, IT, shop managers, vendors, and general contractors.
  • Manage installations and overseas deliveries/procurement.
  • Lead accurate cost tracking, offer management, and change order accounting.
  • Follow instructions from SGRE and provide reports as needed.

Professional requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in luxury retail construction project management

  • Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related fields; relevant experience may be accepted

  • Excellent project management skills, including proficiency in MS Project and Excel

  • Proficient in luxury materials, finishes, furnishings, displays, and equipment

  • Hands-on knowledge of retail development workflows

  • Ability to utilize mobile communication tools for office tasks while traveling

  • Experience in procurement, sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing is a plus

  • Previous experience as a project manager with international retail brands or as a general contractor

  • Deep understanding of retail construction methods, including architectural designs, MEP systems, and installation processes

  • Commitment to accuracy and completeness in construction documentation.
