The Swatch Group Ltd is an international group active in the manufacture and sale of finished watches, jewelry, watch movements and components. Swatch Group supplies nearly all components required for the watches sold by its 16 watch and jewelry brands as well as by its two retail brands, Tourbillon and Hour Passion.
The Group’s production companies also supply movements and components to third-party watchmakers. The Swatch Group Ltd is also a key player in the manufacture and sale of electronic systems used in watchmaking and other industries. With its watch brands, it is also a leader in the field of sports event timing as official timekeeper and data-handler of most of the Olympic Games of the last decades and major international sports events.
Job description
Directs the organization's financial planning and accounting practices as well as its relationship with lending institutions, shareholders, and the financial community by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate managers.
A CFO must be well-versed in all aspects of financial management ranging from simple accounting to broad investment and banking operations. The ideal candidate will be an excellent leader since all relative departments of the organization will be under their command.
The goal is to protect the company’s revenues and profits to achieve full financial control and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversees and directs treasury, budgeting, audit, tax, accounting, purchasing, real estate, long-range forecasting, and insurance activities for the organization.
- Directs the controller in providing and directing procedures and computer application systems necessary to maintain proper records and to afford adequate accounting.
- Directs the treasurer in activities such as custodian of funds, securities, and assets of the organization.
- Appraises the organization's financial position and issues periodic reports on the organization's financial stability, liquidity, and growth.
- Coordinates tax reporting programs and investor relations activities.
- Analyzes consolidates and directs all cost accounting procedures together with other statistical and routine reports.
- Oversees and directs the preparation and issuance of the corporation's annual report.
- Directs and analyzes studies of general economic, business, and financial conditions and their impact on the organization's policies and operations.
- Analyzes operational issues impacting functional groups and the whole institution and determines their financial impact.
- Evaluates and recommends business partnering opportunities.
- Performing risk management by analyzing the organization’s liabilities and investments.
- Drive the company’s financial planning
- Decide on investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks
- Ensure cash flow is appropriate for the organization’s operations
- Supervise all finance personnel (controllers, treasurers etc.)
- Manage vendor relationships
- Prepare reliable current and forecasting reports
- Ensure compliance with the law in KSA and company’s policies
- Manage team of financial controllers and financial analysts.

Professional requirements

Proven experience as CFO, Finance Manager, or in a relevant financial leadership role.

Over 15 years of progressive financial management experience in retail or a similar field.

In-depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices.

Extensive knowledge of Saudi ZATCA systems and regulations.

Knowledge of local legislation in their area of responsibility.

Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g., ERP).

SOCPA Member.
-
BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance or relevant field; MSc/MBA is a plus.
Languages
Fluency in Arabic and English is essential
