Job description
Human Resources Business Partner
HR Business Partner will serve as a strategic advisor and trusted partner to department heads and senior leadership. This position will lead the HR function across corporate and retail operations, designing and executing people strategies that support business objectives. The responsibilities will span employee relations, proactive talent acquisition, performance and development programs, organizational design, change management, productivity, retention, and employee engagement.
This is an office based role in Miami, FL. This position will oversee Corporate and Brand Retail stores.
Profile
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Partner with senior leadership and department heads to align HR strategy with the business’s overall goals
- Lead a high‑performing HR team, providing coaching and guidance on performance management, employee development, succession planning, and restructuring.
- Own complex employee relations cases, conducting objective investigations and guiding resolution through policy, counseling, or legal involvement when necessary.
- Design, implement, and manage talent acquisition strategies—including vendor management, candidate sourcing, interviewing, offers, and onboarding—tailored to the business context.
- Develop and manage performance management programs: goal setting, mid‑year reviews, coaching, development plans, and disciplinary actions with managers. Ensure execution follow‑through.
- Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement and culture—such as recognition programs, training, and internal communications.
- Develop and implement HR metrics and analytics (retention, engagement, productivity, turnover, workforce trends) to inform strategy and measure impact
- Research, develop and implement innovative recruitment & compensation policies and programs specifically tailored to the specific business environment.
- Maintain in depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with legal department as need-ed/required.
- Advise on organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, and change management during restructuring or expansion.
- Oversee administration of leaves of absence, workers’ compensation, and unemployment filings.
- Coordinate w/HQ for expatriate assignments and related HR matters.
- Identify training and coaching opportunities for management and build HR training programs on topics such as performance management, communication styles, and leadership development.
- May work directly with departments heads on roll outs for policy and procedure changes as well as benefit programs and changes.

Professional requirements
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in HR with evidence of strong career growth and progression.
- Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or Psychology
- HR certification required: PHR, SPHR, SHRM‑CP, or SHRM‑SCP – certification preferred
- Extensive experience in retail HR, with strong knowledge of California state employment regulations.
- Knowledge of federal and state employment laws, a strong plus
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel/PPT/Word), HRIS platforms, and HR metrics analysis.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills; high integrity with strong confidentiality.
