Production Manager Connected Modules & Displays

Job description

Lead the manufacturing of display modules in a high-mix, small/mid-series environment. Ensure operational efficiency, quality, and delivery, while adapting to limited forecast visibility and dynamic production needs.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

People Leader / Team Manager:

  • Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team (operators, team leaders, maintenance).
  • Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure training and certification of production staff on processes and equipment.
  • Represent production internally; build strong cross-functional relationships.
  • Manage team performance, goals, resources, and budgets.

Production Operations

  • Oversee daily manufacturing activities, ensuring quality, safety, and schedule compliance.
  • Translate production plans into operational schedules and organize shift planning. Ensure polyvalency of the production staff
  • Support new product introduction with a focus on manufacturability and secure “Safe Launch.”
  • Continuously improving production processes and workstation ergonomics.

Quality & OPS Reliability

  • Work with Quality and Engineering to resolve issues, reduce defects, and drive yield improvement.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions (RCA/CAPA)
  • Monitor and act on KPIs (OEE, productivity, yield, scrap, delivery).
  • Lead preventive maintenance and ensure adherence to process controls and documentation.
  • Ensure the effectiveness of OQC and compliance with process flows, change management procedures, and work instructions.
  • Ensure compliance with EM’s quality system.

Planning & Coordination

  • Align with Supply Chain on material availability and schedule adherence.
  • Drive capacity planning aligned with business growth.
  • Ensure accurate tracking via MES/ERP systems.

Professional requirements

  • Degree in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or similar.
  • 5+ years in production/operations management in high-mix, low-volume environments.
  • Experience in cleanroom operations and industries like electronics, optics, or watchmaking.
  • Background in display technologies
  • Hands-on LCD manufacturing is a plus.
  • Background in Automotive or similar industries is a plus.
  • Proficient in MES/ERP systems and KPI monitoring.
  • Familiarity with quality tools (FMEA, 8D) and industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949).

Languages

  • Fluent in English and French (oral/written).
