To strengthen our Back-End Operations, we are looking for a Quality Leader to take ownership of quality processes, drive quality indicators and methods as well as manufacturing quality coordination across operation. The role has a dual reporting line into the Back-End Operations Manager (tactical, daily and executional control) and the Corporate Quality function (strategic, long-term, methods and structural oversight).

This position plays a key role in ensuring the robustness of our manufacturing processes, the compliance of our operations with relevant industry standards and customers’ requirements, and the delivery of products that meet EM’s high standards of performance, quality and reliability. By driving process maturity and cross-functional collaboration, the Quality Leader will directly contribute to operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and the long-term competitiveness of EM’s Back-End Operations.

Main areas of responsibility:

  • Lead and coordinate manufacturing quality activities across the IC Back-End (BE) organization
  • Responsible for the non-conform material management board.
  • Drive the quality processes including MRB, SCAR’s, Process Changes management and line scraps improvement. Supervises First Article Inspection.
  • Ensure effective process control is relevantly established and upgraded upon need to reduce the occurrence of non-conforming material, scraps and customers’ complaints (MSA, SPC, automation, MES safe-guarding rules…)
  • Provide strong technical expertise in problem solving, quality investigations and technical risks management using 8D, continuous improvement and FMEA methods.
  • Coordinate customer complaints resolution at operations level in close collaboration with the customer quality team. Ensure adequate risk assessment is systematically and timely made to protect EM supply chain and customers. Ensure root causes analysis are relevantly analyzed and adequate corrective and preventive actions are implemented and effective.
  • Closely collaborate with EM supplier quality and purchasing to assess, contain, minimize impact and resolve SCARs related to IC BE suppliers and OSATs.
  • Integrate quality requirements into the NPI process definition and execution by ensuring compliance with APQP / PPAP core tools, customers’ requirements and all controls, documentation, FMEA and checklists are accurately and exhaustively completed.
  • Define, maintain IC BE quality indicators in collaboration with IC BE management and corporate quality. Ensure targets are defined and performance gaps are analyzed. Propose continuous improvement initiatives to IC BE management. Drive and coordinate related continuous improvement projects / initiatives at operations level.
  • Ensure IC BE compliance with applicable certifications and standards, as an active member of internal auditors’ community, in close collaboration with QMS manager.
  • Drive, deploy and ensure effective application of quality policy, relevant quality methods, tools and best practices in collaboration with IC BE management and corporate quality teams.
  • Leads Tasks Forces / Quality alerts cases related to EM IC BE

Profil

  • University degree in a relevant field
  • At least 5 years of experience in semiconductor industry with a leadership position in Quality Lead / Management activity

Compétences requises

  • Solid experience in 8D, process control plans, NPI, SPC, MSA and FMEA’s.
  • Good knowledge of industry standards, tools and their application: ISO9001, IATF 16949
  • Good knowledge and proven exposure to IC production and development
  • Experience in managing external and internal audits is an asset
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and influencing abilities at all levels
  • Collaborative mindset, able to foster cross-functional cooperation
  • Structured, rigorous and result-oriented
  • Proactive attitude with the ability to drive change and continuous improvement
  • Capacity to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Fluent in oral/written French, English C1, Italian is an asset
