We are looking for a Retail Environment Development Team Leader for our Marketing Department.

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Retail Environment Development Team Lead to manage and guide a team of Retail Development Project Leaders in delivering global retail store projects. This role serves as the operational backbone of our retail environment team, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The Team Lead will provide direction, coaching, and oversight to project leaders, ensuring alignment with the company’s retail development strategy. This role also acts as the bridge between the Head of Retail Environment and the project teams, driving consistency, innovation, and operational excellence across all markets.

In this role, your main tasks will be to :

Team Leadership & Management

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Retail Development Project Leaders, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation
• Act as the first line of operational decision-making and escalate strategic issues to the Head of Retail Environment when required
• Ensure equitable workload distribution, resource planning, and ongoing performance management of the team
• Provide mentorship, professional development, and training to strengthen project management capabilities within the team

Project Portfolio Oversight

• Oversee the global pipeline of retail store development projects, ensuring consistency in execution and adherence to brand and operational standards
• Monitor project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation across all team projects, ensuring alignment with departmental KPIs
• Conduct regular project reviews with Project Leaders to ensure proactive problem-solving, risk management, and on-time delivery

Stakeholder & Vendor Coordination

• Strengthen relationships with internal stakeholders (operations, sales, store design, vm) and external vendors, contractors, and consultants
• Oversee vendor performance management, ensuring compliance with service level agreements, quality standards, and budgetary targets

Operational Excellence & Innovation

• Standardize processes, tools, and best practices across the team to enhance efficiency and scalability of project delivery
• Ensure compliance with all building codes, local regulations, safety standards, and sustainability requirements
• Drive innovation in retail environment development by integrating new technologies, sustainable materials, and cost-efficient solutions.

Profile

You have a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management, or related field
You have 10+ years of experience in retail store development, with at least 5 years in a team leadership or line management role
You have a proven track record overseeing large-scale, multi-market retail development projects from design through to store opening
You have a strong financial acumen with experience in budget development, cost control, and ROI analysis
You demonstrate proficiency with project management tools and design software (AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite; Rhinoceros 3D/VRay a plus)
You have a deep knowledge of building codes, permitting processes, and construction best practices
