Job description
The Swatch Group U.S. is looking for a Human Resources Generalist to provide support to the HR Business Partner (HRBP) in all HR administration and pro-active recruitment (strategy), employee relations, performance management, and talent development.
This is an office based position.
Profile
Duties:
- Generalist Support: Act as a point of contact for general employee inquiries. Provide guidance and interpretation to employees on policies and procedures.
- Recruitment: Develop, implement and manage recruitment strategies inclusive of finalizing job descriptions, job posting, resume review and screening, interview scheduling, candidate correspondence, and notifying leadership of the hiring decision process
- Talent Management: Track movement across the employee cycle - new hires, transfer and/or promotion of employees into new roles, and exits. Manage the administration of personnel and organizational changes, processing all required paperwork and conducting exit interviews
- Onboarding: Partner with HRBP and hiring managers on new hire onboarding to ensure a seamless, efficient onboarding experience.
- Employee Relations: In partnership with HRBP, guide employees and managers through employee relations issues, participating in the performance improvement process to reach appropriate resolutions. Lead initiatives to improve employee engagement
- Performance Management: Partner with HRBP to provide performance management guidance to management, such as coaching, counseling, and career development
- Payroll & Benefits: Partner with the payroll and benefits department to track employee leaves, process workers’ compensation claims and handle escalated matters
Professional requirements
- Minimum two years’ experience in Human Resources with evidence of strong career growth and progression.
- Bachelor’s Degree; PHR or SPHR preferred
- Bilingual Spanish a plus
- Knowledge of federal and state employment laws
- Strong interpersonal communication, comfortable interacting with all levels of the organization
- Knowledge of HR practices, procedures, and policies
- Knowledge and proficiency in HRIS systems preferred
- Strong PC skills using MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; must be client focused
- Ability to interact with all levels of staff/management and work successfully in a team environment
- Ability to work with confidential and sensitive information
- Ability to recognize opportunity for improvement and lead change
Physical Requirements: This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the HR Generalist to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.
