ICT System Engineer (Windows Service Manager)

To strengthen our IaaS & DC team, we are looking for a motivated

ICT System Engineer (Windows)

The Job

You will be in charge, within the according team, of the maintenance and development of the Windows servers solutions in conjunction with our Data Center infrastructure.
In addition, you will collaborate with the 1st level support plus the 2nd level operation. You have a detailed understanding of all services provided by the IT Infrastructure Department. On-call service during the year is mandatory.


Your responsibilities:

  • OS images management
  • Sync-up meeting organization
  • GPO management
  • Patching strategy and monitoring
  • Help in automation of deploying images for vSphere and AHV environment
  • Test and deploy new versions
  • Setup operational procedures and train the IT operation team
  • Bring the technical and architectural competences in troubleshooting ad-hoc teams
  • Contact with suppliers (licensing, support, TAM )
  • Service management (billing, services description, kpi...)
  • Work on innovations for the continuous improvement of the service and implement the new solutions
  • Assist the storage and virtualization team in setting up state of the art architectures

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, ES degree or equivalent in Computer Science
  • Structured, systematic and analytical approach
  • Autonomous, self-starter and willing to keep learning
  • Demonstrated initiative, customer orientation and team work competencies
  • Ability to communicate technical issues with non-technical people
  • Ability to delegate tasks
  • Precise and structured working method



Professional Requirements

  • Project Management skills
  • A deeper knowledge in:
    • Windows Server / core (certifications are preferred)
    • SCCM / SCOM
    • General knowledge in Active Directory, vSphere environment, Linux, databases and networking.

Languages

  • You are able to communicate in English (spoken and written)
  • French or German is an asset
