Junior Project Manager Retail

Swatch Group Services LTD is part of the Swatch Group, the world’s largest watchmaker with 16 renowned brands including Omega, Longines, Tissot, and Swatch. Our Real Estate Development department plans and implements high-quality retail spaces worldwide – from boutiques to shop-in-shop concepts.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a motivated Junior Project Manager Retail with initial experience in the construction field who is eager to grow in project management.

Job description

  • Support experienced project managers in planning and executing retail construction projects.
  • Independent handling of construction administration: budgeting, cost control, tendering, contracts, construction insurance, and permit procedures.
  • Review of design, approval, and construction drawings as well as relevant working documents.
  • Coordination of construction realization and organization of project handover, including defect checks and commissioning.
  • Ensuring integration of IT and security requirements according to brand standards.
  • Placing orders and tracking deliveries.
  • Monitoring maintenance and renovation work in existing boutiques.
  • Maintaining and further developing internal guidelines and material samples.
  • Communication and collaboration with external architects, engineers, contractors, and the local Swatch Group project management teams.
  • Planning and implementation of shop-in-shop installations.

Professional requirements

  • Completed training in construction (e.g. architectural draftsman, interior construction draftsman) and/or studies or further education in architecture or interior design.
  • Several years of experience in construction project management, ideally in retail or store design.
  • Solid knowledge of construction administration, project management, and cost control.
  • Experience in reviewing and revising design, approval, and execution plans.
  • Confident handling of contracts, tenders, and permit procedures.
  • Familiarity with integrating IT and security requirements into construction projects.
  • Experience in organizing project handovers, commissioning, and client transitions.
  • Experience in coordinating shop-in-shop installations as well as maintenance and renovation work.

Languages

  • Excellent command of German and English, both written and spoken, is required.
  • French is an asset.
