Job description

This is a full-time role and we are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented paralegal to 
support the Legal Counsel in managing day-to-day legal operations, ensuring 
compliance across retail activities, and assisting with contracts, data protection, and 
regulatory matters. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build a legal

Key Responsibilities: 
• Assist with drafting, reviewing, and managing commercial contracts (e.g. 
supplier agreements, NDAs, leases). 
• Support in managing legal queries from internal stakeholders. 
• Support compliance with consumer protection, data privacy (GDPR), and 
employment law. 
• Maintain and update legal databases, contract registers, and filing systems. 
• Conduct legal research and prepare summaries or briefing notes. 
• Liaise with internal departments of the Company to support legal queries. 
• Help manage legal documentation for store openings, closures, and 
refurbishments. 
• Assist with preparation of board materials, statutory filings and correspondence 
with external legal firms or authorities. 
• Monitor changes in legislation relevant to the Company operations. 
• Help with implementation of and compliance with applicable statutory 
requirements, policies and directives issued by The Swatch Group Ltd and the 
internal control system. 
• Help monitor compliance with data protection regulations. 
• Support the Legal Counsel in preparing for audits, disputes, or litigation. 
• Support with legal invoicing and budget tracking.  

Profile

• Law degree required (LLB). 
• Previous paralegal or legal assistant experience (ideally in retail, commercial, 
or property law). 
• Familiarity with UK employment law, intellectual property law, consumer 
protection law, competition law, data protection laws (including GDPR) and 
various compliance issues. 
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication. 
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. 
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal research tools. 
• A proactive, collaborative, and commercially aware mindset.
