Job description

The Wholesale Marketing Specialist role is a newly created position that seeks to bridge the many marketing requirements of the wholesale sales channel and its stakeholders with the overarching OMEGA USA and global marketing strategy, driving efficiencies and maximizing the COOP budget and activity.

Profile

  • The Wholesale Marketing Specialist will need to possess and refine their generalist marketing knowledge to advise on COOP strategy/planning under the guidance of the Events and Trade Marketing Director
  • Guideline development, deployment, and ongoing refinement
  • Tactical deployment: media matters, events, digital marketing (including social)– liaising with dedicated OMEGA marketing departments in these fields as well as back to the Retailers and Regional Sales Managers
  • Coordinate on-site visits and briefing processes with retailers, working in lock step with Sales, Store Design and VM to ensure a productive travel schedule and accurate “face time” market representation in the field
  • Detailed reporting and record keeping of calls, activity and visits to ensure key learnings and action points are captured and shared in a timely manner
  • Agency management of dedicated COOP claims administrator, including daily and weekly communication.
  • Budget responsibility across the entire COOP cost center, including accurate monthly closings, revisions (R1 – 3) and reallocations of funds to ensure maximum spend and return
  • Precise record keeping and an ability to introduce and maintain new processes and administrative efficiencies
  • Ability to handle multiple – sometimes conflicting – stakeholders and priorities, developing new communication channels and reacting in a timely manner, particularly to external stakeholder requirements (thus enhancing the OMEGA image in the marketplace, acting as an enhancement to the account team to enable more definition between sales and marketing)
  • Brand guardianship of the OMEGA trademark, ensuring marketing initiatives, market assets and activities are to the highest OMEGA standards, intervening when issues or potential issues arise

Professional requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Business, marketing, media, communications, or public relations concentration preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years marketing and or high level administrative/account management experience required. Experience in retail and/or luxury goods
  • Skills and Abilities: Demonstrate sound initiative across all aspects of the role, working both autonomously and in conjunction with sales and marketing stakeholders, identifying new opportunities and elevating OMEGA in a competitive COOP landscape.
  • An open and effective communicator who can act as a consolidated voice and advocate for wholesale with impeccable organization, tenacious follow up and a reassuring presence.
  • The role will encompass approximately 30% travel and require extended hours as necessary.
  • Experience with Power Point, Excel and SAP required.
