The Brand Manager for Glashütte Original will take full ownership of the brand's strategy, sales development, and operational execution in the North American market, acting as the entrepreneurial leader driving all aspects of the brand’s success. This role demands not only a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills but also an individual who takes full accountability for the brand’s performance in the country. You will be expected to proactively translate the global brand vision into local initiatives, maximizing brand growth, profitability, and market share. As the Brand Manager, you will oversee a multidisciplinary team, ensuring flawless execution while maintaining strict alignment with HQ strategies. In this highly competitive luxury landscape, the ability to navigate challenges and consistently deliver outstanding results will be key to the brand’s ongoing success. Job description
Key Responsibilities
Brand Strategy and Management:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive brand strategy in alignment with the global objectives set by Glashütte Original HQ
- Propose and implement the local strategic roadmap to achieve the annual brand and sales objectives
- Create both long-term and short-term strategies that ensure sustainable growth in market share, brand visibility, and profitability
- Drive annual budgeting processes, ensuring that resources are allocated to meet financial targets and deliver effective ROI
- Conduct continuous P&L analysis to track performance, adjust strategies as necessary, and report key insights to Brand HQ and local stakeholders
- Lead market research and competitor analysis, positioning the brand optimally against competitors in local luxury market.
Sales Development and Channel Management:
- Shape and deploy the distribution strategic roadmap to develop the business on all channels with a short-term and long-term perspectives.
- Develop the brand’s presence and image in the market according to the guidelines
- Set ambitious sales objectives by channels and doors
- Boost boutiques productivity by deploying a best in class operations culture and intensive clients activations
- Maximize the network performance by implementing a sell out strategy and activation plan per account and anticipate trade evolutions and opportunities
- Manage key accounts (POS visits, replenishments, best sellers implementation…) and develop solid partnerships and action plans with the trade partners and monitor in-store inventory levels and stock rotation
- Optimize and elevate by exploring brand footprint Improve the brand coverage in the country, and open new qualitative and productive POS
- Implement productive assortments in all POS and improve replenishment process to ensure best sellers are always in store
- Prepare regular business reviews to Glashütte Original HQ. Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly sales trends to identify areas for improvement and action
- Build and deploy tactical activations calendar to support business development plan and boost sales
- Provide consistent sales reports to both HQ and local management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and next steps.
Marketing, PR, and Communication:
- Lead the execution of annual marketing and PR plans, overseeing both online and offline marketing strategies, including advertising, press releases, and digital marketing initiatives
- Collaborate with external media partners, ensuring high-quality content creation that reflects the luxury and exclusivity of Glashütte Original
- Supervise the planning and execution of PR events, VIP experiences, and clienteling activities, enhancing customer loyalty and brand affinity
- Oversee CRM programs to deepen relationships with top-tier clients, including the development of gifting programs, bespoke event management, and exclusive brand experiences.
- Manage all aspects of the brand’s image building and development
- Monitor all co-op marketing investments and ensure they are in line with Headquarters’ strategy
Profile
Product and Merchandising Management:
- Collaborate with HQ to determine the optimal product assortment for the North American market, focusing on new launches and core products
- Conduct regular sales analysis and forecasting, ensuring stock levels are optimized across all retail points to meet customer demand
- Manage the entire product lifecycle, from initial orders to final delivery, ensuring seamless logistics and product availability in the North American market
- Position Glashütte Original competitively in terms of pricing, ensuring alignment with global pricing strategies while reflecting local market conditions.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Build and lead a high-performing team, ensuring that all members are aligned with brand objectives and are motivated to achieve success
- Engage in talent development through recruitment, coaching, and mentoring, ensuring the team is equipped with the skills and knowledge required to excel in a competitive market
- Implement performance incentives, fostering a results-driven culture that recognizes and rewards success
- Organize comprehensive training programs in areas such as brand storytelling, sales techniques, and customer service excellence.
Professional requirements
Qualifications
Industry Experience: At least 15 years of experience in luxury brand management, with a deep understanding of the watch and jewelry sectors. Candidates must demonstrate expertise in brand strategy, sales, and marketing, with significant achievements in these areas. Experience in managing high-end luxury brands is essential.
Management Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a managerial role in Luxury goods or High value product industry, with a proven track record of leading teams in high-pressure environments, delivering sales and marketing objectives.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree is considered a plus.
Skills
Strong leadership capabilities with excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Strategic thinker with the ability to balance long-term vision with immediate business needs.
Demonstrates a deep understanding of the luxury sector, consumer behaviors, and market trends, with specific expertise in watches and jewelry.
