Job description
Global Mission : Application Manager
In this challenging position, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing a portfolio of applications that are business- and production-critical to a complex semiconductor manufacturing organization. This role involves ensuring the optimal functioning of Windows-based application systems, implementing new solutions, and providing support to the organization. You will also work collaboratively between the central IT department and the local subsidiary, ensuring alignment with the overall IT strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Application Management: Deploy, update, and troubleshoot Windows-based applications, including middleware such as IIS and .NET apps.
- Monitoring & Performance: Monitor system health, performance, and capacity; implement tuning and optimization.
- Security & Compliance: Apply patches, enforce security policies, and ensure compliance with standards.
- Backup & Recovery: Use the central IT backup tool to perform backup and restore operations.
- User Support: Provide Level 2/3 support for application-related issues and collaborate with helpdesk teams.
- Automation & Scripting: Develop PowerShell scripts to automate routine tasks.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation, technical schemas, processes, and procedures.
- Projects : Manage IT projects from planning to execution, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
- Collaboration: Work closely with developers, network teams, and other IT stakeholders for system integration, upgrades and maintenances.
Profile
Education
- CFC or ES in Information Technology.
- Strong understanding of Windows applications, IT systems, networks, and security principles.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills.
- Demonstrated capability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
- Experience in a multinational environment with centralized IT infrastructure (an advantage).
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server (2016/2019/2022/2025) administration.
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS/DHCP.
- Familiarity with IIS, SQL Server, and application deployment.
- Strong knowledge in PowerShell scripting.
- Understanding of ITIL processes and change management.
- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Administrator, MCSA, or similar (a plus).
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., SCOM).
