Job description
Key Responsibilities
Account Management/Retail Partner Relations
- Serve as the primary point of contact and brand representative for
authorised retail partners across Malaysia. - Develop and maintain a structured account management cadence, including regular store visits, business reviews, and seasonal range presentations.
- Negotiate and manage sell-in volumes, seasonal buys, and trading terms in collaboration with the Country Manager/Mido HQ, ensuring commercial targets are met while preserving healthy partner margins.
- Proactively identify and address challenges within accounts.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date account records.
Inventory, Replenishment & Other Management
- Monitor auto-replenishment systems across all points of sale, reviewing stock positions on a regular basis and taking corrective action when replenishment triggers are not performing as expected.
- Execute all ordering and replenishment activities through Arkieva.
- Manage the full stock and collection cycle.
- Oversee the payment collection process for stock and collections.
- Liaise with logistics teams to resolve any issues that could impact partner operations.
Sales Reporting & Performance Analysis
- Prepare and submit weekly & monthly sales performance report, highlighting notable trends, risks, and opportunities for the attention of management.
- Conduct monthly store visits across the wholesale network and consolidate detailed visit reports.
- Track and analyse key performance indicators across all points of sale, identify underperforming accounts and working collaboratively with partners to develop improvement plans.
- Ensure all reporting is accurate, consistently formatted, and aligned with the Brand/Group’s reporting standards.
Visual Merchandising & Brand Standards
- Work closely with retail partners to implement and maintain VM setups according to brand guidelines.
- Ensuring all partner locations receive updated materials in a timely manner.
- Maintain a photographic record of VM standards across all points of sale.
Retail Staff Training & Brand Education
- Design and deliver training programmes for retail partner staff.
- Develop training materials and conduct regular training sessions.
- Build a culture of brand advocacy among retail partner staff.
In-Store Activations & Retail Partner Collaboration
- Collaborate with retail partners to identify joint market opportunities
- Conceptualize, plan, and execute in-store activations, product launch events, and seasonal promotions that attract consumers, increase dwell time, and drive purchase conversion.
Digital Marketing & Press Relations
- Develop and manage digital marketing campaigns tailored to the Malaysia market, working across owned channels (social media, CRM, website) and paid media to reach and engage target consumers at relevant touchpoints in the purchase journey.
- Manage relationships with local press contacts, watch and lifestyle media editors, and digital content creators, proactively pitching stories, collections, and brand moments to generate earned media coverage.
Profile
Preferred Profile
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in wholesale sales, account management, or brand management, ideally within watches, jewellery, luxury goods, or lifestyle.
- Demonstrated track record of managing retail partner relationships and driving sell-through in a wholesale distribution model.
- Hands-on experience with inventory or retail planning systems; familiarity
with Arkieva is an advantage. - Exposure to digital marketing, social media management, and PR or media
coordination. - Experience planning and executing in-store activations or trade marketing
- events.
