Job description

As System Implementation Manager Multisports, you will lead technology coordination and cybersecurity activities across Multisport project phases, from preparation to live event operations. You ensure that technology infrastructure, systems integration, and cyber governance are fully aligned with operational requirements, while acting as a key interface between internal teams, project leadership, and external stakeholders.

You will lead technology implementation, infrastructure readiness, and cybersecurity coordination for multisport projects and will:

  • Act as the primary technology counterpart to the On Venue Results (OVR) Project Manager throughout project delivery.
  • Ensure integration readiness between Timing & Scoring systems, OVR platforms, and venue technology infrastructure.
  • Coordinate multi-venue connectivity requirements and oversee critical technical dependencies across competition sites.
  • Contribute to project technology and cybersecurity governance meetings with internal stakeholders and external partners, including Deloitte.
  • Collaborate closely with corporate IT teams to ensure alignment with architecture, governance, and security standards.
  • Serve as liaison between project teams, Information Security, software leadership, and operational delivery teams for all technology and cyber-related topics.

This position is contractually based in Leipzig, and after the upcoming 2028 Summer Olympic Games in Los Angeles, will be required to be on-site at the Olympic Games host city 2 years before the games to ensure proper planning and preparation.

Profile

You hold a Certificate in Technology/Computer Science or equivalent, as well as a qualification in project management. You also have higher education in Information Technology, Engineering, Telecommunications, or equivalent experience.

You have solid experience in complex IT infrastructure, systems integration, or critical operations delivery. In addition, cybersecurity coordination within project environments is highly valued.

You show strong ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders in international environments, have excellent problem-solving capabilities and operational decision-making skills.

You are service and solution oriented, a team player, open minded, and have a “make it happen” attitude towards your internal and external clients. You are structured, systematic and organized in your way of working and are consistently focused on effectiveness and efficiency. You are also optimistic, motivated and visionary.

Professional requirements

  • Experience in complex IT infrastructure, systems integration, or critical operations
  • Qualification in project management
  • Ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders in international environments
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity coordination (asset)
  • Structured, organized, and result-oriented mindset

Mandatory :

  • Ready to relocate, with availability for long-term on-site assignments (Leipzig-based contract and relocation to Olympic host city ~2 years prior to the Games)

Languages

  • Fluency in English is required

  • French and German would be an advantage
