Job description
As a System Engineer, you are responsible for defining, designing, and maintaining end-to-end system architectures and technical solutions across software, hardware, network, and infrastructure domains. You translate business requirements into scalable and reliable technical solutions and ensure seamless integration across all system components. Your role includes defining system requirements, interfaces, communication structures, validation strategies, and architecture standards while providing technical leadership across cross-functional teams. Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and defining end-to-end system architectures and technical solutions.
- Translating business requirements into technical system requirements.
- Developing system concepts, specifications, and interface definitions.
- Defining data flows, communication structures, and network architectures.
- Ensuring seamless integration of software, hardware, and infrastructure components.
- Evaluating and selecting appropriate technologies and architectures.
- Defining requirements related to performance, scalability, reliability, and usability.
- Developing validation concepts, test strategies, and system verification approaches.
- Identifying technical risks and defining mitigation strategies.
- Establishing engineering standards, architectural principles, and best practices.
- Supporting implementation, integration, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities.
- Acting as a technical interface between engineering teams, project management, and operations.

Professional requirements
- University degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a comparable field.
- Several years of professional experience in systems engineering, solution architecture, or a related technical role.
- Strong knowledge of system architecture and system design methodologies.
- Experience with hardware and software integration.
- Good understanding of network technologies and distributed systems.
- Experience working with complex IT, embedded, or infrastructure environments.
- Familiarity with systems engineering processes and methodologies.
- Experience in system testing, validation, verification, and quality assurance.
- Ability to define technical standards and drive architectural decisions.
- Experience working in cross-functional and international project environments.
Languages
- Fluent English, written and spoken.
- German is highly desirable.
- French is considered an advantage.
