Job description

The Receiving Clerk is responsible for the efficient receipt, inspection, processing, and storage of inbound shipments within our Distribution Center. This role ensures the accurate handling of merchandise, maintains receiving records and documentation, and supports inventory accuracy. Responsibilities include unloading inbound freight, processing receiving paperwork, routing products to appropriate departments, maintaining inbound and outbound freight records, and providing professional interaction with vendors and delivery personnel. The Receiving Clerk plays a key role in supporting daily warehouse operations while adhering to company safety and quality standards.

Profile

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced distribution environment. They possess strong communication and customer service skills, demonstrate a sense of urgency, and can successfully manage multiple priorities simultaneously. The successful candidate is dependable, adaptable, and committed to maintaining accuracy while meeting operational deadlines. Previous experience in receiving, warehouse operations, or distribution center environments, particularly within luxury goods, jewelry, watches, cosmetics, or related industries, is preferred.

Professional requirements

 

  • Minimum of two (2) years of receiving or warehouse experience, preferably within the jewelry, watch, cosmetic, sunglasses, or luxury goods industries.
  • Experience operating pallet jacks, forklifts, and hand trucks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Ability to accurately process receiving documentation and maintain detailed records.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and perform physical activities including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and stretching throughout the workday.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime as needed based on business demands.
