For over 100 years, Hamilton provided thousands of watches for the military. Today, we draw on that experience to create field watches for modern life. With a combination of lightweight functionality and military style, our new Khaki Field Titanium Automatic is ready for action. 

Hamilton originally began supplying precision railroad watches to soldiers under the command of General ‘Black Jack’ Pershing during World War I. They were used to time troop movements. Besides the requisite for accuracy, the watches first had to be adapted from pocket watches to wristwatches to ensure the soldiers could read them quickly and easily.

Hamilton supplied watches, timepieces, timers and precision instruments to the U.S. military during the Second World War. In 1942, we halted all consumer production to ensure we could supply the huge number of watches required by troops. From 1942-1945, Hamilton delivered more than one million watches, earning five Army-Navy ‘E’ Awards for manufacturing excellence.

Titanium is the perfect modern material for a military-inspired watch. Exceptionally light on the wrist, while still being durable and robust, the Khaki Field Titanium gives the wearer complete freedom of movement. This new addition to our Khaki collection is the perfect example of a watch fit for the field. 

Available in two contrasting styles, the 42mm case of our Khaki Field gets a material upgrade to titanium. Choose a sleek bare metal case paired with a silver dial, or go for a bolder look with a black PVD coated case paired with a black dial. We matched both with a soft touch brown leather strap resistant to the toughest wear. 

Green Super-LumiNova® is added to the hour and minute hands of the silver dial version, while the black dial features beige. Both new colors are a reminder of the patina found on the now-vintage Hamilton field watches that have become collector favorites, and add to the Khaki Field Titanium Automatic’s historic military style. 

Most importantly, the applied Super-LumiNova® and contrasting dial ensures total readability in any light condition. Underneath the functional dial is our dependable H-10 automatic movement, which packs in an outstanding extended power reserve of 80 hours.
