Drawing on Longines’ heritage of elegance and watchmaking expertise, the brand unveils a completely redesigned Master Collection for both women and men. First introduced more than 20 years ago, the collection now presents new three-hand models, moonphase chronographs, and for the first time within The Longines Master Collection, a monopusher chronograph.

Reinterpreted as enduring expressions of classic sophistication, these models reaffirm their status as Longines icons. The collection is presented through the Home of Elegance campaign, bringing together for the first time all the brand’s Ambassadors of Elegance in a setting that reflects a shared vision of refinement, balance and character. Within this universe, these figures embody a collective expression of timeless style and elegance, reflecting the new Longines Master Collection timepieces.

THE LONGINES MASTER COLLECTION CHRONO MONOPUSHER

The redesigned Longines Master Collection marks the introduction of the Chrono Monopusher, unveiled for the first time in two 41-mm models featuring a pulsometer scale. Designed for intuitive operation, the chronograph functions - start, stop and reset - are controlled via a single pusher integrated into the crown, embodying a refined balance between technical sophistication and ease of use.

The pulsometer scale on the outer circumference allows the wearer to measure the heart rate by timing a set number of beats (typically 30) and reading the corresponding pulse directly. Originally developed for doctors and nurses before the advent of electronic heart-rate monitors, the pulsometer enabled quick pulse readings using a wrist- or pocket-watch chronograph.

Today, it continues to be used, while remaining a nod to its medical heritage and to vintage chronograph design. The Longines Master Collection Chrono Monopusher offers a focused approach to measuring time, whether tracking a journey, a task or a moment in the day, it delivers reliable performance while reflecting Longines’ commitment to precision, elegance and watchmaking tradition.

At the heart of both Longines Master Collection Chrono Monopusher models is a Longines exclusive manual-winding mechanical movement: the column-wheel calibre L799.5. Equipped with a silicon balance spring, it delivers a power reserve of up to 68 hours, ensuring durable precision and reliability. The chronograph display features a 60-second central hand and a 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock, offering clear and efficient time measurement. The movement is visible through a transparent case back fitted with a sapphire crystal, while water resistance is maintained up to 3 bar (30 metres).

The watch is housed in a round stainless-steel case defined by a concave bezel that lends balance and elegance to its proportions. A sapphire crystal with multi-layer anti-reflective coating on both sides ensures optimal legibility in all conditions. 

The dial, composed with restraint for maximum clarity, is available in either a silver opaline or frosted blue barleycorn finish, with snail engraved sub-dials and sandblasted detailing on the outer edge. 

The display is enhanced by applied Arabic numerals - either rhodium-plated and polished or 5N rose plated - paired with matching hands.

Each model is complemented by carefully selected leather straps: either an anthracite version or a brown strap featuring an Oxford finish. Both are  fitted with a triple-folding safety clasp with push-piece opening and micro-adjustment, ensuring a secure, personalised fit while reinforcing the watch’s refined aesthetic.

This execution revisits a defining chapter in Longines’ history. As early as 1911, the brand introduced one of the first monopusher chronographs designed for the wrist - a significant innovation at a time when most chronographs relied on large pocket watch movements. The concept was further refined in 1913 with the calibre 13.33Z, recognised as the first compact-sized chronograph movement worldwide, developed in multiple variations and known for its precision and reliability.

Worn by pioneering aviators such as Amelia Earhart and Richard Byrd, these early wrist chronographs established Longines as a key player in aviation, as well as in the broader history of exploration and technical innovation, underscoring the brand’s commitment to precision, reliability, and  pioneering spirit.

Today, the Longines Master Collection Chrono Monopusher carries this legacy forward, combining historical authenticity with contemporary watch-making expertise.

THE LONGINES MASTER COLLECTION CHRONO MOONPHASE

A signature complication of the brand, the moonphase display takes centre stage in these Longines Master Collection chronograph models, introducing an added layer of complexity while preserving the collection’s refined identity and reinforcing its status among Longines’ icons of elegance.

Housed in a 41-mm round stainless-steel case, these timepieces are powered by a Longines-exclusive self-winding mechanical movement: the column-wheel calibre L687.5. Measuring 13 1/4 lines, it features a silicon balance spring, 27 jewels and a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, delivering a power reserve of up to 66 hours.

The functions are arranged with precision to ensure both clarity and balance. Hours and minutes are complemented by a small seconds and 24-hour indicator at 9 o’clock, while the date is indicated along the dial circumference by a half-moon-shaped central hand. The chronograph features a 60-second central hand, a 30-minute counter with day and month indication at 12 o’clock, and a 12-hour counter combined with the moonphase display at 6 o’clock.

The silver dial is enhanced by a new barleycorn pattern, adding depth and a subtle interplay of light. Snail engraving adorns the sub-dials, while the outermost edge of the dial features sandblasted detailing for added texture. Nine applied blue Arabic numerals, paired with blued steel hands, ensure excellent legibility and a sense of refined balance.

The case is fitted with a sapphire crystal with multi-layer anti-reflective coating on both sides, while the crown is engraved with the iconic winged hourglass logo. The movement can be admired through a transparent sapphire crystal case back, with water resistance ensured up to 3 bar (30 metres).

Each model is available with the choice of a stainless-steel bracelet or a blue leather strap, both equipped with a triple-folding safety clasp and push-piece opening mechanism with micro-adjustment. These options ensure a secure, personalised fit while complementing the watch’s elegant character.

The combination of chronograph and calendar indications, including the moonphase, has long been part of Longines’ watchmaking heritage. In the early 20th century, Longines offered chronograph pocket watches with calendar and moonphase. A particular timepiece, a quarter-repeater chronograph pocket watch with full calendar and moonphase from 1911, is today part of the Longines Museum’s collection. The early moonphase characterised by balanced dial layouts and clear legibility, became emblematic of classical Swiss watchmaking. Today’s interpretations remain faithful to that tradition, preserving the harmony between functionality and aesthetic refinement while benefiting from contemporary mechanical innovation, with the moonphase complication standing as a contemporary signature of the brand.

THREE-HAND MODELS 

New Additions Showcasing Diverse Expressions of Elegance

At the heart of the collection, the three-hand models express the essential codes of the Longines Master Collection and reaffirm their place among the brand’s icons of elegance. Following the launch of new three-hand models in June, the collection is now further enriched with new blue dial executions and refined variations featuring two-tone bracelets, expanding its aesthetic versatility.

Available in 30-mm, 34-mm, 39-mm and 41-mm, these watches offer a broad range of variations while preserving a coherent identity. The redesigned case, defined by its concave bezel, introduces a more fluid and contemporary profile while enhancing comfort on the wrist.
