Swatch Group AG: Klage gegen den Bau eines Kompetenzzentrums für Schmuck vom Bundesgericht abgewiesen
Ende 2005 hatten direkte Nachbarn Beschwerde gegen den Beschluss des Verwaltungsgerichts der Republik und des Kantons Neuenburg vom 27. Oktober 2005 eingelegt. Zuvor hatten sich in einem Referendum am 19. Juni 2005 75 % der Bürgerinnen und Bürger von Auvernier für eine Baugenehmigung ausgesprochen.
Die Swatch Group wird dieses Zentrum für ihr Unternehmen DYB (Dress Your Body) errichten, das Schmuck – von Modeschmuck bis hin zur ausgesuchten Juwelierkunst - konzipiert und herstellt. Für DYB arbeiten Entwickler und Künstler, die für den Einkauf von Edelsteinen, die Herstellung von Fassungen – für Schmuck und Uhren – das Design, die Kreation und die Produktion des gesamten Schmucks der Swatch Group sowie für die Schaffung von Kunsthandwerk zuständig sind.
