Following his election to the Swiss Federal Council on 22nd September 2010 and in accordance with the ensuing legal obligations, Mr Johann Niklaus Schneider-Ammann has stepped down from his function as member of the Board of Directors at The Swatch Group Ltd.

Mr Schneider-Ammann was a member of the Board at Swatch Group from 1998 to 2010. He will take office as head of the Federal Department of Economic Affairs by the beginning of November 2010.

Swatch Group wishes to express its heartfelt thanks to Mr Schneider-Ammann for his major contribution as member of the Board and to extend its warmest congratulations on his nomination. We wish him every success in his new position which we are sure he will hold in the best interests of our country.
