Longines: World debut during the Alpine Skiing World Cup in Wengen

The Downhill Alpine Skiing World Cup held in Wengen on Saturday, January 15, 2011, will offer a special TV feature for the first time ever.

Longines with the technical support of Swiss Timing, both companies of The Swatch Group Ltd., in cooperation with the Swiss national broadcaster SRF will present the world premiere of a virtual runner during the Downhill event broadcast. It is a graphic presentation of the leading athlete compared to the current athlete. The virtual runner has already gained tremendous success in swimming events.

This innovative analysis and presentation technology will bring considerable added value to the TV viewers watching alpine skiing events.
